Halloween Crochet Decorations

Spooky Crochet Ideas

If you’re decorating your home for Halloween, how about using up some of your wool stash with some spooky crochet decorations?

Here are three great ideas that we’ve collated for you. Don’t forget to share photos of your crafty creations with Discover Ramsey!

Chain Spider’s Web

Capture the beauty of an early morning spider’s web in your own garden by taking a photo, then use the image as inspiration for your own freestyle crochet web. You can make this entirely in chain stitch. Start with a small circle, then create lengths of web from the circle – this web has 15 strands from the centre circle, then link up the lines round by round joining each strand as you go. Just make sure you count your chains so you can keep the symmetry of the web. This would look fabulous in some hairy shiny wool to get the effect of early morning dew.

Skull Motif

It wouldn’t be Halloween without a skeleton! Here’s a great video and written tutorial by Handmade by Raine who takes you through the pattern step by step. These skulls could be used as bunting or as decorations for your Halloween outfit!
