DOG WALKS

Ramsey is a wonderful place to walk dogs. There are many naturistic walks and scenery for a relaxing walk which can be used for photography and to relieve stress

Holme Fen

A calming place to walk at is Holme Fen, open to all dog walkers who must use a lead no longer than 2m so you can then cover an area of 657 acres of land. A sight to see include the silver trees which are easily recognisable through their thin, white, bark and drooping branches.

Ramsey’s Golf Course

An area local to the village is Ramsey’s golf course with a public footpath. Next to it is a small, nature trail which is covered by bushes. It also has a bridge over a stream of water that leads to forest sights which go towards Fairfield Drive.

DOG FRIENDLY PLACES TO GO

The Dog Café

There are some places where dogs are allowed indoors. One of these places is the dog café which is open every Tuesday from 10am – noon and do not require a dog to enter. It is run at the Ramsey Cricket club and by the Ramsey Neighbourhood Trust. It is viewed as a welcoming space through the work of volunteers which supply help toward the local community.

The Three Horseshoes

Another calming space is Three Horseshoes in Wistow. They allow dogs in the garden but not in the pub. It has a calming atmosphere and good customer service. Three Horseshoes also have morning tea/coffee and serve traditional home-cooked food which also include a variety of specials.

The Ramsey Rural Museum

A lovely place to hang out with your dog is the Ramsey Rural Museum where you can grab a tea/coffee and view the group of activities and events held out through the year.
